Physiotherapy

  • Acupuncture and dry needling

    • Designed to relieve tightness and pain in muscles by inserting needles directly into a knot or pressure point, thus releasing tension in the surrounding muscle

  • Chinese cupping

    • Involves placing cups directly on the skin to create suction in order to treat pain, ease scar tissue deep within muscles and connective tissues, and reduce swelling and muscle knots

  • Vestibular rehabilitation

    • An exercise-based program to improve balance and reduce problems related to dizziness. The main objective of vestibular rehab is to re-educate the vestibular system and the brain to distinguish and process indications about movement and spatial orientation in coordination with data from vision and proprioception

Physiotherapy is treatment to restore, maintain, and make the most of a patient’s mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice

Leg Injury

Services provided include:

  • Pelvic floor physiotherapy

    • Assists with incontinence (leakage), urinary frequency and/or urgency, bowel issues, pre- and post-pregnancy issues, pain during or following intercourse, orgasm or stimulation, ejaculation issues, and chronic pelvic pain

  • Concussion management

    • Services include screening for concussion, and treatment planning and exercise prescription to support return to play/activity progression

Physical Therapy Session
  • Return to sport

    • Assists with injury recovery in order to return to playing sports or participating in an activity at a pre-injury level

  • Prevention of overuse injuries

    • Assists with prevention of repetitive micro-trauma to tendons, bones and joints

  • Postural screening and correction

    • Preventative measures to assist in the relief of ongoing back and associated skeletal pain and posture issues

  • Post-operative rehabilitation

    • Design to accelerate recovery, restore range of motion, strength, flexibility and function, prevent re-injury during recovery, and minimize the adverse effects of surgery such as pain and swelling

  • Exercise prescription and corrective exercise

    • For athletes and non-athletes

  • Yoga and meditation
