Nutrition Counseling by a Registered Dietitian

A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a regulated health professional that has undergone comprehensive and rigorous training in order to translate the complexity of nutritional science into realistic and achievable recommendations for individuals, families, and the community. Dietitians are passionate about food and its potential to enhance lives and improve health.

Dietitians employ the nutrition care process, which includes nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring/evaluation, to deliver high-quality, nutritional care.

Natural Medicine

Vegan and vegetarian nutrition through the life cycle (pregnancy, infancy, childhood, adulthood, athletes)

Learn what supplements are needed, how to obtain nutritional balance and adequacy, how to support childhood growth and development, and/or how to achieve optimal athleticism while eating a plant-based diet.

Chronic disease prevention and management (heart disease, diabetes, hypertension)

Learn about the role of diet in preventing, managing, and in some cases, reversing debilitating lifestyle disease. Includes a detailed dietary and lifestyle assessment and a discussion of the key strategies, tools, and resources that help make healthy living the easy and preferred choice.

Eating disorder recovery and disordered eating

Our Registered Dietitian is skilled at helping individuals with eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating, orthorexia) and disordered eating understand the origins of their eating disorder while simultaneously re-building a trusting and loving relationship with food and their bodies.

Gastrointestinal health (irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, acid reflux, diverticular disease)

Our Registered Dietitian will work with you to identify the dietary and lifestyle triggers that could be contributing to poor digestive health, helping you to create a new way of eating and living that allows you to heal and thrive.

Sustainable weight loss and bariatric surgery preparation/follow-up

Body weight is influenced by so much more than what we eat. Our psychological well-being and stress, the environment in which we work and play, the people we spend time with, and our childhood eating habits are all examples of factors that shape our current dietary habits. Our dietitian will provide a non-judgmental and open space to help you establish new and sustainable habits that empower you to reach your best weight.
